This is a huge thank you for coming to visit Shannock Valley Elementary on March 13. The students had a blast! You have such a wonderful way with children and I was very impressed with how you were able to adapt your assembly to all grade levels. Even the teachers were raving about you and thanking me for selecting you! Most of all, thank you for encouraging our students to love reading. Your upbeat, humorous, and compassionate personality is truly special and no one left that day without a huge smile! You just make people feel good! Keep doing what you’re doing! Thanks again!

Chris, your visit was more than I could have expected. I just put a thank you note in the mail to you, and included one of the parent thank you letters we received. You are spreading the "literacy, reading" message in a very effective way. Please "keep on going" . . . I believe our PTO might consider an Author-in-Residence. I will look up the info on your web site, and be in touch. Again, it was a pleasure having you to do such a powerful thing for our kids.

Hi Chris, Thanks for coming to our school. I received a lot of positive feedback. One parent even wrote a note to say how they appreciate the things Uncle Stinky teaches such as reading is fun, good behavior, accepting people for who they are, etc. Many have expressed that they have been curling up with their kids and your books laughing out loud and enjoying quality time together. A few students have decided to write their own books. My personal favorite is Smelly Bob, written by a 1st grader named Jonathan. So ... what's really great is how your personal story inspired kids to write on their own and how your presentations and books motivated parents to read with their kids.
It was really great working with you!! :)

Chris, I must say, the first time I saw the title of your books, I was a bit skeptical. However, after looking through the books, and watching your performance, all doubt was quickly laid to rest! You are a wonderful presenter, and truly have a gift in helping the students create a passion for reading. Thanks again for your time at New Salem. It was my pleasure to have met such a creative author that shares the same passion for children and learning that we all do.

The school was all a buzz after your visit. The media center had a run on requests for a copy of your books to check out. We all had a fantastic time and we will definitely keep in touch regarding future presentations.
On a personal note, I truly enjoyed your organized approach to scheduling and your prompt response to my every request for more information. Your package with all of the necessary promotional supplies was amazing. Thanks again for a wonderful morning at Silver City!

Dear Chris,
MANY THANKS go to you! Everyone totally enjoyed your program last night - you really reached the youngest to the grandparents. Person after person made a point of telling me how much they enjoyed your presentation. It was FABULOUS! We learned a lot and had a great time doing it. We thank you for your loving spirit for kids and learning to read and write.
I hope you will have contacts from Principals in the future as people begin to plan their budgets for next year. I will certainly offer recommendations to them.
Thank you again, Chris for everything.

I can't tell you how grateful we were for the honor of having Chris Rumble present at our school. The kids were so excited about reading they couldn't put his books down even after he left. The kids took his books out to the playground the next day and were reading them to each other. It was unbelievable! Chris truly has a gift for instilling the love for reading in students! He brought tears to our eyes when he presented our very special students with his illustrations.
The staff has been expressing their gratitude for such a great Author Visit. One teacher asked me, "Did you see the look on their faces?" Then we both said that Chris inspired us because now we want to put that look on their faces, too.
Chris was the gift we all needed this year to inspire our students to be the readers we know they can be.

I want to brag on Chris Rumble! He just spent three days with us, and and he was been FABULOUS! He has visited quite a few schools in our county, but I also want to say what a great job he did with our special ed kids - our special ed preschool teachers have told me that this is the first performer that the school has had come in that they felt their kids really enjoyed. Chris saw the whole school over 3 days. I think everyone from pre-k - 5th grade really enjoyed him.
His rates depend on what you are doing, but he was VERY reasonable and willing to work with our PTA budget.

Uncle Stinky comes to life before their very eyes at Austell Elementary.

"A day with the Reading Guitar Man is more fun than a day at the pool" -- a statement that is not only absolutely true, but also gives me a reason to post this classic photo of Levi, one of my favorite nephews.
